About the job

Role Description

  1. Hands-on ADO and Jira board ownership, covering the epic, feature and story hierarchy, defect tracking with RCA and board hygiene.
  2. Strong PMO practice, including RAID logs, early risk identification, escalations, WSR, validated MoMs and dependency tracking.
  3. Clear understanding of SOW boundaries, CR documentation, email confirmation of decisions, and the difference between T&M and fixed price.
  4. Experience handling teams of 30+ across squads, with capacity planning and early identification of single-point dependencies.
  5. Working knowledge of Azure, including landing zones, AKS, networking, identity, APIM and CI/CD.
  6. Sound Databricks understanding, covering data lake vs Delta Lake vs lakehouse, the medallion layers, cluster types and Unity Catalog.
  7. Understanding of AI delivery, including RAG and agentic flows, AI guardrails, Databricks AI Gateway and Azure AI Foundry, and security and code scanning tools such as Veracode and Black Duck.
  8. Knowledge of infra and DevOps delivery, including environment provisioning, release management, monitoring and disaster recovery.
  9. Crisp, structured communication with both architects and executives, and comfort admitting gaps.
  10. Strong ownership, escalating early and keeping the DM informed without being chased.
  11. Migration experience covering on-premises to Azure and data platform migrations to Databricks, migration approach (rehost or re-architect), cutover and rollback planning, data validation and hypercare.
