ABOUT US
Unbox Robotics is a deep-tech robotics company building the world's most space-efficient warehouse sorting systems. Our swarm robotics platform — UnboxSort — enables e-commerce, retail, and 3PL operators to sort at 3–5× the throughput of conventional systems, in a fraction of the floor space.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Pune, we operate across 20+ sites in 9 countries, serving leading players in e-commerce, retail, CEP, and 3PL across India, Europe, and the USA. Series B funded, we are scaling rapidly toward our next phase of global growth.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage and execute Unbox Robotics’ accounts payable function end to end — processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely, accurate payments to vendors.
This is an individual contributor role at the heart of our finance operations. You will maintain accurate financial records, support healthy cash flow, and build strong relationships with vendors, working closely with Procurement, Stores/Receiving, Operations, and other internal teams.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Invoice Management
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorisation
Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts, and resolve discrepancies promptly
Enter invoice data into the accounting / ERP system for payment processing
Payment Processing
Prepare and process vendor payments through approved electronic modes (NEFT/RTGS, international wire transfers)
Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements and avoid late fees or interest
Address payment inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders
Reconciliation & Reporting
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies
Support month-end and year-end closing by reconciling accounts payable records
Generate and maintain accounts payable ageing reports and payment activity summaries
Vendor & Internal Coordination
Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries on payments and account status
Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving teams to resolve invoice disputes
Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal teams
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain organised and accurate records of invoices, payments, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax requirements, including TDS on vendor payments and GST input tax credit reconciliation
Track payment timelines for MSME-registered vendors
Support internal and statutory audits by providing requested documentation and information
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices
Use AP automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
Stay updated on industry practices and new technologies in accounts payable management
REQUIREMENTS
Must Have
2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly accounts payable
Knowledge of AP workflows, vendor management, and tax compliance relevant to payables (TDS, GST)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and pivot tables
Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
Good to Have
Familiarity with AP automation tools and electronic payment platforms
Experience with international vendor payments or foreign remittances
Exposure to multi-entity accounting or international vendor tax reporting (e.g., US 1099)
Experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or technology company
ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
Desired Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
M.Com, MBA (Finance), or partially completed CA/CMA is a plus
Work Experience
2–4 years in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably with ERP-based processes
WE VALUE

WHY JOIN US
Every robot we ship depends on a supply chain of vendors who trust us to pay accurately and on time. In this role you will own that trust, while gaining hands-on exposure to the finance operations of a Series B deep-tech company scaling across India, Europe, and the USA.
You won’t just process invoices.
You’ll keep the supply chain behind our robots running — on time, every time.
