About the role

We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial

Head – Global Sourcing

to build and scale Scimplify’s global sourcing ecosystem across multiple chemical categories and international markets.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong industry relationships, global supplier networks, commercial expertise, and the ability to drive sourcing competitiveness, cost optimisation, and supply reliability.

Key responsibilities

Build Global Sourcing:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies across India and international chemical manufacturing hubs.

Supplier Ecosystem Development:

Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers across global markets.

Strategic Procurement:

Lead commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and cost optimisation initiatives.

Category Expansion:

Drive sourcing across specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, industrial chemicals, and other relevant categories.

Commercial Excellence:

Optimise landed costs, improve sourcing margins, identify alternative suppliers, and strengthen supply competitiveness.

Global Supply Network:

Build a diversified and reliable supplier base to support Scimplify’s expanding domestic and international business.

Quality & Risk Management:

Partner with technical, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure supplier qualification, product quality, compliance, and supply continuity.

Leadership & Execution:

Build and lead the sourcing team, establish sourcing processes, and drive measurable performance across cost, quality, and delivery.

What we are looking for

Significant experience in global sourcing, strategic procurement, or supplier development, preferably within the chemical industry.

Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing ecosystems and international supplier markets.

An established network of domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers.

Proven expertise in commercial negotiations, cost optimisation, supplier development, and sourcing strategy.

Experience in international trade, import/export, and cross-border sourcing.

Demonstrated ability to build sourcing capabilities, develop teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
